No Judgments Pleasea conversation for the future

i'm tired and i'd like nothing more than to sleep right now but honestly, i cannot.
i forgot what it was like to sleep at night, safe
without the chance of unhappy surprises happening.
i can't go back, need to stop living in the past.
i want to live in the future
sometimes i know its the past i dwell
the family, mine, not always who i wish they were
the ones i consider family, having never let me down.
we choose our friends and here i choose my future...
live in the present, not the past and forgive myself.
easier said than done.
**Note: tomorrow I will be talking to our doctor. He's in denial and I know him, if i dont say anything he may never say anything, he may never get help for himself.
